You asked, we answered
  • What are the ingredients of Shenga Chutney?

The ingredients are Groundnuts, Garlic, Cumin seed (Jeera),  Red Chili powder and salt

  • How do you make this chutney?

After carefully procuring the best material. We roast the groundnuts over traditional stoves, remove their outer shells, and mix them with other chosen ingredients. The key step is skillfully pounding the mixture using a mortar and pestle, which gives our chutney its unique flavor and consistency.

  • Why do I see Oil in the packet?

  • Why does the chutney become lumpy?

The presence of oil in the chutney packet and the lumpiness of the chutney are desirable qualities in traditional, high-quality chutney. They are a result of using oil-rich groundnuts, traditional pounding methods, and the natural release of oils during preparation. These characteristics are often seen as a mark of authenticity and flavor in homemade chutneys.
